Local author Linda McLean discusses her book, The Heidelberg Project, and the creative process in poetry and other art forms. Participants are given an opportunity to begin the creative process through various activities. Copies of her book will be available for purchase.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Walled Lake City Library.

For everyone who loves children’s books, wants to know what’s new in children’s literature, or wants to learn new read-aloud skills, the Storytellers Connection presents Connie Ilmer, Head of Children’s Service at the Baldwin Public Library, who will review children’s picture books and demonstrate helpful reading techniques for storytime.  Join us for a fun evening with good company and delicious treats.

Learn all about Scottish music and customs with Highland bagpiper Kim Johnson.  She encourages audience participation as she demonstrates how to play the bagpipes and dance Scottish dances.


PUMPKIN PIE !

Registration is requested; recommended for all ages.

Join us for old-fashioned family fun. Preschoolers may listen to holiday stories and school-age readers may participate in a dramatic Readers’ Theater.  No memorization, costumes or special props are needed. The focus is on reading with expressive voices and gestures. The result is a fun time celebrating Thanksgiving around generous slices of pumpkin pie.
